Small Things

Those great unfinished projects are piled up in boxes and stacked in a corner, meant to gather dust. Old concepts lay dormant and drawers have become archives dedicated to another unknown artist.
It feels great to be blessed with the gift of a seemingly limitless source of ideas. Steadfast, unyielding and unalterable as i sort through the explosion of concepts crowding the doorway of my mind. The tragedy occurs with the inevitable incursion of the restricted time slot, the necessity to perform, contribute and to be distracted by the outsiders.
True great ideas are meant to be allowed to mature and age appropriately. Paint needs solitude and the comforting vacuum of absence. Indifference is appropriate in order for colors to find meaning in the shapes and forms suggested on canvas. Perhaps I'm simply too attached to the small things and hostage of my own design. www.ericzone.com Ericzone
